Acorn Education Trust partners with Mighty Girls and Boyz2Men
It All Begins Here
Mighty Girls CIC joins Acorn Education Trust Partnership to support girls across 21 schools - A shared commitment to helping young people build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
Mighty Girls CIC is delighted to be working alongside Acorn Education Trust and the Stay Safe Initiative CIC as part of a long-term partnership that will support the wellbeing and personal development of young people across the Trust’s 21 primary and secondary schools.
Through this partnership, girls across the Trust will have access to Mighty Girls Being Mighty programme, which is designed to create supportive spaces where they can build confidence, explore their strengths and develop the skills they need to navigate friendships and other challenges of growing up.
Boys will benefit from the Boyz-2-Men programme.
The partnership also brings Better Together, a half day workshop to all secondary schools in the Trust– a collaborative programme that encourages meaningful conversations around identity, relationships, empathy and understanding developed and delivered by Mighty Girls and the Stay Safe Initiative CIC.
At a time when many young people are facing increasing pressures both online and offline, the partnership reflects a shared belief in the importance of early, preventative support that helps young people feel seen, valued and connected.
This agreement marks a significant step for Mighty Girls CIC. While the organisation has worked with schools and youth settings across the Wiltshire and BANES for 8 years, supporting hundreds of girls and young people through its Positive Relationships work, this marks the first time a multi-academy trust has made a long-term strategic commitment to delivering the Being Mighty programme trust-wide.
Marsha Mars Founder of Mighty Girls CIC said:
We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Acorn Education Trust and working alongside The Stay Safe Initiative CIC to support young people across the Trust. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to wellbeing, positive relationships and personal growth for young people.
Mighty Girls was created from a belief that every girl deserves to feel seen, heard and valued. Our programmes provide safe spaces where girls can build confidence, recognise their strengths and develop the self-belief they need to thrive. To see a Trust invest in this work on such a significant scale is really encouraging.
Working alongside Richard and the Boyz-2-Men team strengthens that impact even further - we can create more meaningful opportunities for young people to grow in understanding, empathy and confidence.
We’re excited about the difference we can make together.
Rob Price, CEO of Acorn Education Trust comments:
We are incredibly excited about this partnership and the opportunities it will create for our young people across the Trust. Programmes such as Boyz-2-Men, Mighty Girls and Better Together have the potential to make a real and lasting difference by helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, empathy and a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
At Acorn Education Trust, we are committed to supporting the whole child, and we believe these programmes will play an important part in helping our young people feel valued, supported, develop a real sense of belonging, and be equipped to thrive both in school and beyond.”
Richard Founder at Stay Safe Initiative CIC and Boyz-2-Men says:
I feel incredibly humbled by the confidence Acorn Education Trust has placed in our work. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside many outstanding schools and trusts throughout my career, many of which have trusted and supported our work for over 15 years now.
However, this partnership feels particularly special. It is the first time a trust has made a long-term commitment to embedding our work across an entire school community, creating a joined-up approach that will benefit young people, staff and families for years to come.
Boyz-2-Men was born from a passion to create safe spaces where boys can talk openly, think critically and develop the skills they need to navigate an increasingly complex world. To see a trust recognise the value and potential of that work on such a large scale is both inspiring and deeply humbling.
By working together, the Acorn Education Trust, Mighty Girls CIC and The Stay Safe Initiative CIC hope to create lasting opportunities for young people to develop the confidence, skills and relationships that will support them throughout their lives.
Students will have access to programmes that promote:
Confidence and self-belief
Positive relationships
Emotional wellbeing
Resilience and self-awareness
Empathy, respect and understanding
A stronger sense of identity and belonging
