Art & Photography Body Positive Workshop
Join us for a transformative day of creativity and discussion, led by experienced Art Facilitator Sharkey. This workshop invites you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment as we explore how girls and women are portrayed in the media and challenge social and gender stereotypes.
The main focus of the day is taking photographs of yourself in a supportive and guided photoshoot, and then selecting a favourite image to transform into a unique piece of artwork celebrating your individual qualities, identity, and strengths. The aim is to leave feeling empowered, inspired, and more confident in how you see yourself.
Your finished artwork can be framed and taken home as a personal keepsake.
What to Expect:
Engaging Activities: Immerse yourself in hands-on art and photography sessions designed to inspire reflection and dialogue.
Personal Photoshoot: Step into the spotlight and celebrate your uniqueness as you participate in your own empowering photoshoot.
Artistic Expression: Create captivating monoprints and collages of your photos, unlocking your creativity and challenging stereotypes of body image.
Supportive Environment: No prior experience is necessary. Our workshop is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all, fostering a space where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Why Attend:
In a world inundated with unrealistic standards and harmful stereotypes, our workshop offers a refreshing opportunity to reclaim your narrative and redefine beauty on your own terms. Join us as we embark on a journey of self-discovery, artistic expression, and social transformation.
